2nd BARMM Qur’an Recitation and Its Memorization Competition, held @ the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex (SKCC), BARMM, Cotabato City. Ramadhan is a month of Qur’an. It was in this blessed month the Qur’an has been revealed to the Holy prophet Mohammad (صلي الله عليه و سلم) through Angel Jibreel (عليه السلام). Almighty Allah (سبحانه و تعالي) said: “The month of Ramadan In which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for mankind and clear proof for the guidance and the criterion.” Al-Qur’an 2:185, Reading Qur’an is just one of the many righteous deeds (Ibadah) that Muslims around the world are doing. The Competition is aimed at to showcase the talent of Qur’an reciters (Qâri/Qâriah) in the provinces and cities of BARMM. The Competition is of two categories; Recitation (المجودة) and Memorization (الحفظ). The Competition is sponsored by the Office of the Chief Minister, Hon. Ahod Balawag Ebrahim, Al-Hajj through the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE-BARMM) headed by Hon. Mohagher M. Iqbal, spearheaded by the Directorate General for Madaris Education (DGME), under the stewardship of Tahir G. Nalg, MAIS and in coordination of the Bangsamoro Darul Ifta headed by Hon. Abuhuraira Abdulrahman Udasan, Grand Mufti.

Qur’an Memorization Competition (FEMALE Category) 2nd BARMM Qur’an Recitation and Memorization Competition, SKCC, BARMM, Cotabato City sponsored by the Office of the Chief Minister, Hon. Ahod Balawag Ebrahim, Al-Haj through the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education steered by the Hon. Mohagher M. Iqbal through the implementation of Bangsamoro Darul Ifta, headed by its eminence, Mufti Abuhuraira Abdurahman Udasan in coordination with the Directorate General for Madaris Education, headed by Prof. Taher M. Nalg. Beyond an iota of doubt, the Qur’an is not only the most read scripture in the history but also the book that has been put into memory and hearts by a lot of its believers known to be Huffâz. The Holy prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) and thousands of his companions were Huffâz themselves, have able to put the Qur’an into memory and practice. Aisha ( رضي الله عنها ) once asked on the character of the blessed prophet (saw), she replied: His character is the Qur’an. فكان خلقه القرآن.. Islam is continuously producing Huffâz from the previous generation till present day. It is said that even this physical book of Qur’an is all been thrown into the sea, Muslims can still produce the same Qur’an, simply because Qur’an is being memorized by huge numbers of Muslims. Aside that the Qur’an is being protected by Allah (swt) as He promised in the Noble Qur’an: إنا نحن نزلنا الذكري و إن له لحافظون Like fasting, the Qur’an will intercede in the Next Day. Also like prophets, martyrs, Ulamâ, the Huffâz or memorizers of Qur’an are given the opportunity by Allah (swt) in the Next Day to have intercession (Shafâ’at) for the family, kins and loveones. It is with that precepts, those Huffâz and parents who have children who are Huffâz are the most Honorable in the sight of Allah (swt). This activity initiated by the Bangsamoro government is to showcase the young Huffâz and young ulama, men and women that the Bangsamoro people is having. May Allah (swt) bless us with children who are Huffâz and Háfizât. Ameen. …Let everyone be inspired.
